BSB51918 Diploma of Leadership and Management
This course is for existing leaders / supervisors wishing to formalise their skills and knowledge and achieve recognition. It is particularly suited to people looking to work as leaders and managers in high risk operational environments such as mining and construction.
Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements. They plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.
Licensing/Regulatory Information - No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
The 12 Units must be made up of 4 Core Units plus 8 Elective Units.
The standard course offered by Group 314 includes the following Units:

Other elective combinations are possible. Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.

BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management
This course is for existing leaders / supervisors wishing to formalise their skills and knowledge and achieve recognition. It is particularly suited to people looking to work as leaders and managers in high risk operational environments such as mining and construction.
As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals working at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team, apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.
Licensing/Regulatory Information - No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
The 12 Units may be made up of 4 Core Units plus 8 Elective Units.
The standard course offered by Group 314 includes the following Units.

- BSBMGT401 Show leadership in the workplace
- BSBMGT403 Implement continuous improvement
- BSBRSK401 Identify risk and apply risk management processes.
Other elective combinations are possible. Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
- Be at least 18 years old at the time of enrolment.
- Have an email address and access to a computer with an internet connection.
- Have Microsoft Office (or equivalent) including Word, Excel and Powerpoint and the ability to use these programs.
- Have good language, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Complete a Pre-course Evaluation conducted by Group 314 to determine suitability for the course.
- Have access to an operational work environment for the completion of assessment tasks.

Assessment activities may include:
- Written knowledge assessments (short answer questions and /or multiple choice).
- Verbal challenges.
- Practical tasks / Reports.
- Workplace demonstrations.
- Workplace simulations (where a workplace cannot be used).
- Third party evidence reports.

BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
It is for supervisors, WHS personnel, and workers in other WHS-related roles who manage risks effectively, apply relevant WHS laws, and contribute to WHS within the workplace in known or changing contexts with established parameters.
In this course, the term Work Health and Safety (WHS) is interchangeable with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S).
The 10 Units may be made up of 5 Core Units plus 5 Elective Units.
The standard course offered by Group 314 includes the following Units.
5 x Core Units
- BSBWHS412 Assist with compliance with WHS laws.
- BSBWHS413 Contribute to implementation and maintenance of WHS consultation and participation processes.
- BSBWHS414 Contribute to WHS risk management
- BSBWHS415 Contribute to implementing WHS management systems.
- BSBWHS416 Contribute to workplace incident response.
5 x Elective Units
- BSBWHS417 Assist with managing WHS implications of return to work
- BSBWHS418 Assist with managing WHS compliance of contractors
- BSBWHS419 Contribute to implementing WHS monitoring processes
- BSBCMM401 Make a presentation.
- BSBMGT401 Show leadership in the workplace.

Course fees will vary depending on the amount of RPL or Credit Transfer available. Please contact Group 314 to discuss your individual circumstances to develop a custom training plan.
No more than $1,500 ex GST will be charged up front, the remainder will be charged in progressive payments.
- Be at least 18 years old at the time of enrolment.
- Have an email address and access to a computer with an internet connection.
- Have good language, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Complete a Pre-course Evaluation conducted by Group 314 to determine suitability for the course.
- Have recent and credible business / industry experience.
- Have access to workplace Work Health and Safety systems.
- Have access to workplace policies and procedures.
Some students may be able to complete the course in less time through demonstrated prior learning or credit transfer.
