Abseiling

Abseiling is used as a skill in other activities, such as rock climbing, caving, or canyoning - or it can be undertaken as an activity in itself.

This exciting activity involves using ropes to descend cliffs and steep drops. It is undertaken on natural cliff surfaces, or artificial structures such as buildings and purpose-built abseiling towers.

Abseiling is often conducted as an entry level skill on a low cliff - but, for the more adventurous, it can also be conducted as a high-end multi-pitch expedition. Group 314 can even conduct abseiling expeditions in an alpine environment for a true mountaineering experience.
