This Swiftware Rescue PSI RPL course is an RPL application for the Nationally Recognised Training units of competency PUASAR001 and PUASAR002.

This course is designed to provide an RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) pathway for the units:
PUASAR001 - Perform land based swiftwater and floodwater rescue and recovery and
PUASAR002 - Undertake swiftwater and floodwater rescue and recovery

Course Information
This course is for rescue operators who have completed a Public Safety Institute Swiftwater Rescue Technician Vehicle (SRTV) Specialist Course in New Zealand. This course is an RPL application for the Nationally Recognised Training units of competency PUASAR001 and PUASAR002.
Students need to provide a valid statement of attainment for HLTAID011 Provide first aid.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to the units of competence at the time of publication.
This course requires the successful completion of 2 units of competency.
Core Units
- PUASAR001 Perform land based swift water and floodwater rescue and recovery.
- PUASAR002 Undertake swiftwater and floodwater rescue and recovery.
RPL Application.
Statement of Attainment.
Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).

RPL verification of competency will consist of:
- Online Knowledge Assessment PUASAR001.
- Online Knowledge Assessment PUASAR002.
- Document upload of Public Safety Institute Swiftwater Rescue Certificate.
- Document upload of HLTAID011 Provide first aid.

Students must:

- Be at least 18 years of age at time of enrolment.
- Have an email address and access to a computer with an internet connection.
- Have good language, literacy, and numeracy skills.
