Group 314 is searching for some highly motivated people to join our team in Wagga Wagga for full time work as outdoor leaders. The roles will also involve providing general training support to the operations of the Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
The roles are suitable for experienced outdoor leaders as well as for those with no experience or qualifications at all. For those with no experience, please make contact and we will explain what to expect from the industry and how we can help with the required professional development.
The successful candidates must:
- Display the required personal qualities and an aptitude for the role (the primary client is the Australian Defence Force).
- Have leadership qualities and be able to work effectively within an energetic and professional team.
- Have excellent writing skills and be able use MS Office programs.
- Live in Wagga Wagga (accommodation assistance may be available upon request).
- Have a current driving license.
- Possess a Working with Children Check.
- Complete a Police Check prior to commencing work.
- Complete internal training for ‘SISSS00123 Challenge Course Leader’ and ‘SISSS00121 Artificial Abseiling’ (or hold existing qualifications).
- For those that would like advancement, complete internal training in SIS40621 Certificate IV in Outdoor Leadership (specializing in abseiling, canoeing moving water, bushwalking, and caving).
- Be passionate about adventure and facilitating adventure-based learning activities (training in facilitation will be provided).
Experience in the training or outdoor sector is beneficial, but not mandatory. These roles are suitable for people who are fit and energetic, who enjoy working in and outdoors, and like camping.

Group 314 is an RTO and will be issuing nationally recognised training and qualifications where possible.
Typical tasks include:
- Conducting high ropes sessions for Army recruits at the Kapooka Army base.
- Conducting a range of general adventure activities for ADF personnel in remote areas.
- Assisting in the conduct of commercial training courses.
Further qualifications in Outdoor Leadership, Business Services, or Training and Assessment may be available. Professional development is offered to all staff in areas such as rock climbing, caving, canoeing, white-water rafting, white-water kayaking, bushwalking, sea kayaking, back country skiing etc. There are many opportunities for travel and camping.
Salary will be between $47,750 and $62,750 plus superannuation and allowances (depending on existing qualifications and experience).
