Our Provide First Aid course is designed for individuals who need to deliver first aid responses to casualties, whether in the workplace, community, or other settings. This essential training ensures you have the skills and confidence to act swiftly and effectively in a variety of emergency situations.
Tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients, this course offers realistic, scenario-based training that reflects the challenges you may face in your environment. With a focus on practical, hands-on experience, you'll leave this course ready to respond when it matters most.
Remember, to maintain your competency, it’s recommended that this course is refreshed every three years, with annual updates to the CPR component.
Course Information
This course requires the successful completion of:
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
Group 314 prefers to use practical face-to-face training for this course to ensure students are confident to provide first aid in real life. We utilise a scenario-based approach to training and assessment to ensure the course is relevant and effective for students.
Standard Course - This course is conducted over two days. The first day is focused on practical hands-on training and the second day on assessment.
Re-certification Course - This course is for those who have previously completed first aid training and is focused on the conduct of the assessment over one day.

Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).

This course requires students to complete a variety of assessment activities.
- Written Knowledge Assessment (1).
- Competency Observation (1).
- Skills Assessment (1).
This course is normally conducted in the workplace of clients.
Whilst Group 314 conducts training throughout Australia - this course is normally delivered in NSW in a range of metropolitan, regional and remote locations by mobile training teams.
Students must:
- Be at least 18 years old at the time of enrolment.
- Have an email address and access to a computer with an internet connection.
- Complete a Pre-course Evaluation conducted by Group 314 to determine suitability for the course.
- Have good language, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Physical ability to provide first aid.
