Driving Excellence and Safety in Surface Extraction Operations.
The RII40120 Certificate IV in Surface Extraction Operations is designed for personnel in supervisory roles within surface extraction operations, such as open cut mines and quarries.
This course equips you with the essential skills and knowledge required to manage and oversee surface extraction processes safely and efficiently.
This qualification is particularly crucial for Quarry Managers of a Tier 2 quarry, who are required to hold this certification, including the competency 'RIIERR401E Apply and monitor surface operations emergency preparedness,' by 1 October 2024. Compliance with this requirement ensures that managers are fully prepared to handle emergencies and maintain operational safety standards.
For more detailed information on the requirements for Quarry Managers, please refer to the NSW Resources Regulator Guide.
The course will recognise prior learning of experienced supervisors. Group 314 will guide the assessment process to gather as much evidence from the workplace as possible. Gap training will be provided if it is required.
