Trailer Inspections and Servicing

Course Description
This course develops competency to inspect and service trailers.

Required equipment will be provided (trailer, gloves, tools, paperwork).

Students may bring personal equipment, but it must pass an inspection by Group 314 prior to use.

Course Content
This course requires the successful completion of:

  • TLIB2008 Carry out inspection of trailers.

The course content is:

  • Day 1 - Demonstration activity, theory, knot craft, and equipment.
  • Day 2 - Inspection procedures, manufacturer requirements.
  • Day 3 - Practice, documentation, reporting requirements.
  • Day 4 - Assessment.
  • Day 5 - Assessment.


Recognition
Nationally Recognised Training ( NRT ) under the Australian Quality Training Framework ( AQTF ).

Certification Type
Statement of Attainment.

Course Fee
$1,500 ex GST (per enrolment)

Entry Requirements
Students must:

  • Be at least 18 years old at the time of enrolment.
  • Have an email address and access to a computer with an internet connection.
  • Complete a Pre-course Evaluation conducted by Group 314 to determine suitability for the course.
  • Hold a vehicle licence.
  • Have basic vehicle and mechanical understanding.


Duration
40 hours completed over a continuous period of five days.

Training Strategy
Training is provided using theory and practical sessions conducting inspections and services of trailers

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Students are required to be employed in an Outdoor Leadership role and have prior skills and knowledge outdoor guiding. They will therefore have experience that qualifies as RPL. RPL will be assessed and supplemented by gap and/or refresher training as required.
